One of the coziest spots in Eastern Montana is the Raymond Park.  Located in the small community of Raymond (eight miles south of the U.S. Port of Entry), the park offers fishing, boating and swimming.  Also at this recreation site are a baseball diamond, volleyball court, horseshoe pits, a playground and a picnic area.  Located just a short distance off Highway 16 North; Raymond Park serves as a gathering point for anglers,  family reunions and for people who are seeking that Sunday afternoon atmosphere any day of the week.  By December, ice-fishing and skating are popular at the Raymond Dam.

Raymond, once a thriving pioneer town with several businesses, now consists of a post office and the Last Chance Saloon – a one of a kind Montana pub that originally was a livery stable.  There is also a privately owned grain elevator located on the Dakota-Missouri Valley and Western Railroad line, plus a modern Community Hall created from two former school buildings.

The park and Community Hall are adjacent to the highway and have plenty of parking area.  Overnight camping is available at the well-kept park.

The picturesque countryside of the Raymond Community abounds with grain fields and oil wells.  Hunters are also drawn to the deer, game birds and other wild animals in the “big open” of the Raymond area.
